Frequently
Asked
Questions

Do you accept insurance?
Yes! I accept Aetna, Optum, UnitedHealth, and Carefirst/BlueCrossBlueShield. Unfortunately not all policies are guaranteed to have mental health coverage, so please inquire with your insurance policy to ensure I am an in-network provider!
How much are sessions out-of-pocket?
My rate for sessions are $185 per 60-minute individual therapy session or skills session. Intake sessions and assessment sessions are $200. Sliding scale is available on a case by case basis.
How do I know you're the right fit?
Truth is, we don't! I offer free 15-minute consultations for prospective clients to assess if we are a good fit for each other. Additionally, I check in with each client around the third session to ensure we are a good fit for the work you are wanting to do in therapy.
What does a typical session look like?
I try to make the therapy as approachable as possible. Really it's just a conversation! I usually want to know what's going on for you in your everyday, which tends to have roots tracing back to trauma, controlling messages/beliefs about yourself or the world, or parts of ourselves that need some intentional TLC! If we are doing an intake, assessment, or skills session, things may be a little more structured, but ultimately it's just a more guided conversation than a typical session.
What's up with the random bolded words?
As someone with AD/HD, I understand a page of information can be daunting to read. The bolded words help get the information across in a more approachable way!
